Your Opportunity to Lead the Staffing Industry in Illinois!

The Illinois Staffing Association is looking for our next leadership generation!  This is a great opportunity for you to lead the staffing industry in what promises to be a vibrant time.

Two members of the ISA Board of Directors are currently approaching the end of their terms.  The ISA is currently seeking a new President and Treasurer to assume two-year terms beginning on January 1, 2005.  A general election will be held in late November with full transition occurring through December.  The following describe the responsibilities for each of these positions.

President - Chief Executive officer of the chapter performing all duties expected of the office as required by the bylaws and the board of directors.  The President is a member of all chapter committees and the primary chapter liaison between the local chapter and ASA and NAPS.  Conducts strategic planning each year.  Prepares written agenda for board meetings and distributes to board members in advance of each meeting.  Conducts all general membership meetings and monthly board meetings.  Is overall coordinator of his or her respective chapter(s).  Assumes a leadership role as a representative of the staffing industry on a local level. Appoints committee chairpersons and members. 

Treasurer - Responsible for the overall fiscal health of the association.  Responsible for handling and reporting of all financial transactions and preparing financial statements for the Board.  Prepare Chapter budget and review with board.  Maintain an adequate bookkeeping system, with regular professional financial supervision and audit.  Distribution of chapter dues invoices at least 30 days in advance.  Is responsible for all incoming monies and money on hand, paying all bills and maintaining proper records of same, including special functions of the chapter. Maintains checkbook for chapter and co-signs all checks with president.  Work with our CPA or have CPA review financials and tax forms annually.  Prepares files and forms required for payroll and income tax returns.
