Rod Blagojevich proposed a Gross Receipts
Tax and 3% Payroll Tax during his State of the State/Budget
address earlier this year.
If this legislation is passed it WILL impact our ability to operate profitably, especially
if the gross receipts tax does not take into account our cost of labor.
This could cost our industry millions
of dollars in lost profits and lost business.
The Illinois Staffing Association
opposes this legislation and is working to represent you in
Springfield on these important matters.
The Illinois Staffing Association has secured Senator Pam Althoff, an advocate of our industry,
to speak to our members at a breakfast on Monday, April 16th.
This is a call to arms for owners and managers of staffing firms in this state to fight back!
Last year over 400 pieces of legislation affecting our industry were introduced in states around the country.
